KIDNEY BEANS WITH BITTER MELON

(SERVES 5)

INGREDIENTS:



* 2 cups kidney beans, boiled, drained
* 1 kilo bitter melon, halves, seeded, silced in strips
* 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
* 1 whole onion, pared, finely sliced
* 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 4 cups of water
* salt to taste

 

PROCEDURE:



* Preheat the frying pan and add the cooking oil then saute the garlic and onion.
* Put the boiled kidney beans and mix well, pour the water and wait until it boils.
* Add the bitter melon and season it with salt then cover it and wait for at laest 2 minutes.
* Ready to serve.

MORE TIPS:



* You can also add shrimp on the mixture to have a great and delicious recipe.
* You can also use salted fish to enhance the flavor of the recipe.
* You can also add mung beans noodles/sotanghon on tne menu.
