Beef Steak- Ilocano Style (Bistek)

(4-5 servings)

INGREDIENTS:



* ½ kilo beef, stripped slice
* 2 pieces cabbage, chopped
* 4 tablespoons cooking oil
* 7 gloves garlic, finely minced                                                                                                            
* 2 pieces onion, slice circular or ringed
* 1/4 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup lemon or lime extracts (calamansi)
* 2 tablespoon whole black pepper


PROCEDURE:

 *First, marinate beef into a medium bowl with ground black pepper, soy sauce, lemon or lime extract (calamansi) for about an hour. 

*Saute garlic into the hot cooking oil until golden brown.

*Add the beef and let it boil until tender.
*Remove from heat if the beef has already softened and transfer it to another bowl or serving plate.
*Put onion over the "Bistek" as its design.
* Serve with hot rice.

MORE TIPS:


*You can also use lemon leaves to marinate the beef.      
*You can also use butter for marinating.
*You can also add potato as additional to the ingredient.
