SWEET CHILI HOTDOG

(4-5 Servings)

INGREDIENTS:

*10 pieces of red hotdogs, jumbo size, diagonally sliced

*2 pieces of bell pepper seeded and cleaned

*1 piece medium onion, slice into stripped

*1 teaspoon minced garlic

* 1 teaspoon black ground pepper

* 1 teaspoon rock salt

* 5 tablespoon brown sugar

* 1 piece carrot, stripped

* ½ cup tomato ketchup

* 2 tablespoon sprite (soda) or pineapple juice, sweetened

* ½ cup cooking oil

PROCEDURE:

* Removed the plastic of the hotdogs and wash, drain.

* Sliced diagonally, at least an inch and set aside

* Sliced the bell pepper, divide each halves into 4 pieces and set aside

* Preheat the frying pan over a medium heat. Pour the cooking oil and wait until hot

* Gently add the sliced hotdogs, fry and stir until cooked

* Removed from the frying pan, drain into the kitchen paper and set aside

* On the same frying pan and oil, saute the garlic and onion until golden brown.

* Add the bell pepper and carrots, and continue stirring.

* Pour the tomato ketsup, sprite (soda) or pineapple juice, salt, black ground pepper and brown sugar, stir continuously, let it boil for 3 minutes .

* Add the hotdogs and stir it continuously until the sauce has already thickens.

* Removed from the heat and transfer into a serving plate.

* Ready to serve.

MORE TIPS:

- You can sprinkle sweet chili hotdogs with grated cheese before serving.

- Adding more amount of sugar will add more great taste to your sweet chili hotdog recipe.

- You can add more chili powder or bell pepper if you want it to more spicy. Sweet chili hotdog is best as viand, snack or ``pulutan’’ (during happy hour, serve it with cold beer or red wine).
