* 4 tablespoons brown sugar

* 5 tablespoons of soy sauce

* 2 tablespoons salt

* 2 cups broth (any)

* 3 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in 4 tablespoons of water

* 2 tablespoons minced garlic


*In a clean medium sauce pan, combine the sugar, soy sauce, salt and broth. Mix well and let it boil over a medium high heat.

* Add the cornstarch dissolved in water and stirring continuously until thick.

* Lower the heat of the stove and add the minced garlic, continue stirring.

*Cook for about 2 minutes and transfer the brown sauce into a dipping bowl.


- You can add more garlic if you want to.

- If you want a sweeter sauce, just add more sugar, you can also use white or sugar cane.

- Brown sauce is perfect to match in every fried recipes specially lumpiang shanghai, fish balls, fried chicken, pork chop, grilled meat, ETC

- It is easy to cook, and is cheaper than the other sauce or dips.

- It can last at least a week because of the sugar.

- You can also add sprite (soda) or sweetened pineapple juice.
