Tuna Pesto Pasta: Healthy Meals in Twenty Minutes

Either you are a working mom who has to rush from work to your house to be able to cook for your family or you may be a housewife who has to juggle all the house chores and still has to cook that delectable meal before the day ends. No matter which among the two situations you fit into now, there is no doubt that a mother, like you, is one of the busiest persons in the world. Of course, even if your goal is to be able to cook meals in twenty minutes, you still want to serve a dish that is both healthy and appetizing. In that case, tuna pesto pasta may be a dish that will be perfect for your whole family. What you need:
500 grams penne noodles
250 ml cream
180 grams canned tuna
¼  garlic
45 grams pesto sauce

To prepare this, cook the penne noodles following the package directions. Check the noodles once in a while to make sure you do not overcook it. While waiting for the noodles to be ready, sauté the garlic together with the pesto sauce, tuna and cream. Taste the sauce that you have cooked and determine the need to add a pinch of salt, depending on the perceived preference of your family. Once both sauce and noodles are ready, simply mix them and your whole family may now enjoy eating.

TUNA WITH HORSE RADDISH LEAVES

(SERVES 6)


INGREDIENTS:



* 3 cups tuna flakes
* 1 medium bundle young horse raddish leaves, removed leaves, washed
* 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
* 1 whole onion, pared, finely sliced
* 1 cup of water
* salt to taste


PROCEDURE:



* Preheat the frying pan, add the cooking oil and saute the garlic and onion.
* Put the tuna flakes and stir well then pour the water and wait until it boils season it with salt.
* Add the horse raddish leaves and wait until it half done.
* Serve while hot.


MORE TIPS:



* You can also use sweet potato top leaves aside from horse raddish top leaves.
* You can also add shrimp on the recipe to make it more delicious.

GROUND PORK WITH POTATO

 (SERVES 4-5)

INGREDIENTS:




* ¼ ground pork
* ½ kilo fresh potato, skinned, sliced in small cube.
* 3 cloves of garlic, finely minced
* 1 whole onion, pared, finely sliced
* 2 tablespoons vegetable cooking oil
* salt to taste


PROCEDURE:



*Preheat the frying pan, add the cooking oil and saute the garlic and onion.
* Put the ground pork and stir for at least 2 minutes and add the potatos.
* Season it with salt and continue stirring, cover it and wait until the potato is already cooked.
* Serve while hot with rice.


MORE TIPS:



* You can also use oyster sauce on the menu to have a great taste.
* You can also use soy sauce aside from salt.
* You can also add carrots on the recipe to make it more nutricious.

VEGE KIDNEY BEANS

(SERVES 5-6)


INGREDIENTS:



* 2 cups kidney beans, boiled
* 1 bundle bitter melon top leaves, removed young leaves, washed
* 3 cloves of garlic, finely minced
* 1 whole onion, pared, finely sliced
* 2 tablespoons vegetable cooking oil
* 3 cups of water
* salt to taste


PROCEDURE:



* Preheat the frying pan, add the cooking oil and saute the garlic and onion.
* Add the kidney beans and stir and pour the water, wait until it boils.
* Season it with salt and add the bitter melon top leaves, don’t stir and cover it.
* Wait until it boils again and stay away the frying fan from heat.
* Serve while hot with rice.

MORE TIPS:



* You can also add shrimp on the mixture aside from kidney beans.
* You can also use salted fish on sauting the kidney beans to enhance the flavor.

GROUND PORK WITH SPONGE GOURD

(SERVES 5-6)

INGREDIENTS:



* ½ kilo ground pork
* 3 pieces young sponge gourd, skinned/pared, sliced in circular shape
* 1 whole onion, pared, finely sliced
* 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
* 3 tablespoons vegetable cooking oil
* 2 tablespoons soy sauce
* salt to taste


PROCEDURE:



* Preheat the frying pan, add the cooking oil and saute the garlic and onion.
* Add the ground pork and stir for at least 2 minutes, then add thae sponge gourd.
* Put the soy sauce and stir well and cover it and wait for another 1 minute in low heat.
* Season it with salt, continue stirring and wait until the sponge gourd is already cooked.
* Serve while hot with rice.

MORE TIPS:



* You can also use oyster sauce aside from soy sauce for better taste of the menu.
* You can also use butter on sauting the ground pork.
* Aside from sponge gourd you can also use bottle gourd as subtitute.

GROUND PORK WITH SNAP BEANS

(SERVES 5-6)


INGREDIENTS:



* ½ kilo ground pork
* ½ kilo snap beans, sliced diagonally
* 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
* 1 whole onion, sliced
* 2 tablespoons vegetable cooking oil
* 2 tablespoons soy sauce
* salt to taste


PROCEDURE:



* Preheat the frying pan, add the cooking oil and saute the garlic and onion.
* Put the ground pork and stir for at least 2 minutes in medium heat.
*Put the soy sauce and stir and add the snap beans and stir again.
* Season it with salt and cover it and wait for another couple of minutes.
* Ready to serve with hot rice.

MORE TIPS:



* You can also use oyster sauce aside form soy sauce to enhance the flavor of the recipe.
* You can also add carrots on the mixture.
